Frequently Asked Questions:
Cancellation Policy
To best serve clients, 24-hour notice is required via telephone or text to cancel or change any appointment. Cancellations on short notice prohibit other clients from being able to fill that slot. To ensure our cancellation policy is upheld, we require a credit card to book any appointment.
Since the services are reserved for you personally, a cancellation fee will apply after a "no call, no show" or cancellation less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Cancellations made with less than a 24-hour notice may be subject to a charge of up to 40% of total cost of projected services. This value will be applied to the card on file that was used to book the appointment.
All no show appointments must be paid in full prior to another appointment.
Thank you in advance for understanding and respecting our policy.
Getting Started
What makes Sacred Wellness Studio different from a regular clinic? At Sacred Wellness Studio, we take time to actually listen. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we look at the whole picture — your lifestyle, history, hormones, and goals — and build a care plan around you. From functional medicine to aesthetics to wellness therapies, everything we offer is designed to get to the root of how you feel and help you thrive in the long term.
Do I need a referral to become a patient? Nope! You can book directly online or give us a call. No referral needed.
Do you accept insurance? Not at this time.
What forms of payment do you accept? We accept major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and cash. Payment is due at the time of service.
How do I book an appointment? You can book online anytime through our booking portal, or call us at (712) 560-3338 during office hours. We also offer same-day appointments for sick visits — just give us a call.
Functional Medicine
What is functional medicine? Functional medicine is a root-cause approach to health. Instead of just managing symptoms, we ask why they're happening. We use advanced lab testing, detailed health histories, and individualized care plans to address what's actually driving your health concerns — not just cover them up.
What happens at my first functional medicine visit? Your first visit is a real conversation. We'll spend time going through your full health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. From there, we may recommend lab tests and will work with you to create a personalized plan. Plan to spend about an hour — this isn't a rushed 10-minute appointment.
Can you help with hormones? Yes! We offer comprehensive hormone testing and support for hormone health in both women and men. Whether you're dealing with fatigue, mood changes, weight shifts, or other symptoms, we'll help you understand what's going on and explore your options.
Same-Day Sick Visits
Do you offer same-day sick visits? Yes — and this is one of our most popular services. If you're feeling under the weather, you don't have to wait days for an appointment or spend hours in an urgent care waiting room. Call us, and we'll get you in.
What can you treat at a sick visit? We see patients for a wide range of acute concerns, including sore throats, sinus infections, ear infections, UTIs, cold and flu symptoms, and more. We also offer rapid testing for strep, flu, and COVID.
Is a sick visit covered by insurance? Coverage varies depending on your plan and the services provided. Call us before your visit, and we'll help you figure out what to expect.
Wellness Therapies
What is halotherapy (salt therapy)? Halotherapy involves breathing in pharmaceutical-grade dry salt air in our salt room. It's a natural, drug-free therapy that many people find supportive for respiratory issues such as allergies, asthma, and sinus congestion, as well as for skin conditions and general relaxation. Sessions are 45 minutes and deeply calming.
What should I expect from an infrared sauna session? Our infrared sauna uses gentle heat that penetrates deeply into the body, promoting relaxation, circulation, muscle recovery, and detoxification. Sessions are private and typically 30–45 minutes. We recommend hydrating well before and after. Most people leave feeling refreshed and loose — it's a favorite for a reason.
How does red light therapy work? Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of low-level light to stimulate cellular repair and energy production. It's used for skin rejuvenation, inflammation, joint and muscle recovery, and overall wellness. Sessions are quick, painless, and non-invasive. Results are typically seen with consistent use over several weeks.
What's included in an IV hydration drip? Our IV drips deliver fluids, vitamins, minerals, and nutrients directly into the bloodstream for fast, effective absorption. We offer a variety of formulas depending on your needs — from energy and immunity boosts to hangover recovery and hydration. We can also customize a drip based on your goals. Ask us what's right for you!
